We really hate that patchy grass - it consumes sooo much water and we

And they will STAY green with dog urine, so it's a good choice for you. They're also more drought resistant, don't require fertilizer, and you don't need to mow them if you don't mind a slightly taller lawn.

It may seem a bit odd to have a clover lawn (it is unusual), but I'd do it. Literally.
